WHAT DOES REMINGTON 870 WINGMASTER 2 3/4 ONLY MEAN?

Would any of you Remington men understand how the earliest Wingmasters compared to kinds made afterwards?So I suppose the question is, were being the really early Wingmasters, (say one made in March of 1950 ) okay or did Remington have any early generation bugs to workout?Honestly, Unless of course you need to do loads of looking for big geese I'd
